How to use the Screen Recorder

- Click Start recording, then choose the screen, window, or tab to share.
- Do your thing — the timer shows how long you’ve been recording. Click Stop when done.
- Preview the result in the player, then Download your .webm video.
Frequently asked questions
Does it record system/tab audio too?
It can. When you pick a screen or tab, the browser may offer a “Share audio” option — enable it to capture sound. Tick “Also record microphone” to additionally mix in your voice. Note that microphone and window-audio capture support varies by browser and operating system.
Is there a watermark or time limit?
No. There’s no watermark, no sign-up, and no artificial time limit — record for as long as your device has memory to hold the video.
What video format do I get?
Recordings are saved as WebM (VP9 or VP8, depending on your browser). WebM plays in most modern players and can be converted to MP4 with any video tool if you need it.
Is my recording uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser using the native screen-capture and MediaRecorder APIs. The video is built locally and never leaves your device — nothing is uploaded to any server.
